Suzi, Al-Dahná's Sheherazade, has participated in another show. This time at Stord in Norway. She is still madly in love with her owner/handler Stian, and best of all she loves it.

A short update on the "W" litter from today, Oktober 30th. All the pups, Winona Ryder, Wesley Snipes and Whitney Houston, have opened their eyes, and started to walk. Everything is OK with the small ones and with the mother Ketty. They are gaining weight day by day, as can be seen in the table on the page about the "W" litter.

Two of the pups has now got new owners and nick names. Belle Skogland is going to have Al-Dahná's Whitney Houston that will be called Chiara, and Al-Dahná's Wesley Snipes will be called Marley when he moves to Randi Nygård in Stavanger. We have some new photos for you. The first is of the mother, Tekila De Domaine Des Crepinettes (Ketty), with the three pups. From left we have Wesley Snipes or Marley, Winona Ryder (under), and Whitney Houston or Chiara (on top). The second is of Belle and Chiara.

The three pups from Kennel Al-Dahná's "W" litter are gaining weight quite rapidly. We have a table on their page with daily weight measurements, and as you can see from the table, they are eating very well. We have also put out more new pictures of the pups.

The three puppies from Al-Dahná's "W" litter have been named. They are called Winona Ryder, Wesley Snipes and Whitney Houston. New pictures from day 5 has been published as well.

Al-Dahná's Sheherazade (Suzi) debuts with owner Stian Tangjerd at the OPEN SHOW exhibition arranged by Rogaland Myndeklubb Sunday 14th September. Not only is she very beautiful, but she is also completely in love with Stian (her new owner) and has only got eyes for him. So when she is in the ring she looks at Stian all the time. Cute.

Kennel Al-Dahná is very proud to announce that the puppies from the combination of Al-Dahná's Sahib (Sahib) and Tekila De Domaine Des Crepinettes (Ketty) arrived the 16th of October 2008.

We got 1 dog and 2 bitches in light and domino colours. There are more information on them on the page about the W litter (see below for link). We hope that this combination will enhance the typical afghan gait (trot), something seen quite rarely these days.

Sahib and Ketty are two Afghan Hounds from different and very good lines. Both of them have the typical, but often lacking, afghan gait, and they are an absolutely fantastic sight in movement. Both lines have a lot of very good dogs. Just take a look at their pedigrees.

Kennel Al-Dahnás is known for its healthy, long-lived dogs with very good tempers. The typical Al-Dahnás afghan is family friendly, elegant, has a beautiful head that have been recognisable through generations, dark beautiful eyes, beautiful coat and have well formed body. Good temper and healthy dogs is important to Kennel Al-Dahná, and we are rightly proud of our family friendly dogs.

Sahib og Ketty's puppies will be ready for delivery right after Christmas 2008. We can also say that one pup is already spoken for. Inquiries are welcome! Please see our Contact page for details.

Bent-Ove and Torill managed to get a few new pictures of Victoria on Tuesday 14th of October. As you can see, in the picture below, she is developing quite nicely, and we are very happy with her development. She went to see Are Thoresen and got a full checkup. Which was a good thing, since he found a problem with one of her kidneys. This he treated right away. The kidney problem could explain the somewhat difficult behaviour she has shown when people touched the side with the problem kidney. It must have been quite painful. At least it is under control now.

We are not publishing any more pictures for now, as we are waiting for the real gallery to be completed and installed. It will not be long now.

First of all, we are asking you to check back regularely for a special news item we hope to have for you very soon. You will find the news, when it comes, on the page about The Dogs.

Then we have a new feature on the page that we are quite proud of. We have an online pedigree with all of the Kennel Al-Dahná dogs, at least 6 levels deep. We have photos of many of the dogs in the pedigree, but there are some that aremissing, and we are working hard to obtain these and other data, where possible. You can find the Al-Dahná online pedigree tables here. Remember we are still working on it.

We have added three more links to the Links Page. We have added links for AfghansOnline.com, OZafghans and Afterglow.

We also have a proper gallery in the works, but as it takes time to fully integrate the gallery with the online pedigree system, and other pages here, you will have to show a little bit of patience. When it comes it will contain a lot of pictures of Al-Dahná dogs, all the way from the beginning.

Victoria showed for the first time at the Drøbak Hundeklubbs valpeshow, (Drøbak Dogklubb's Puppyshow), Saturday September 6th 2008, exactly 4 months after her birth. She was placed BIG 1 in the hound group (BIG 1), and got a really super critique. Victoria was handled by Belle Skogland. More details to follow, together with an update of Victorias Page.

At the show in Drammen, Norway, on saturday the 23 of August, Hippi became a Norwegian Champion (N CH) when he received the last cert needed for the title. It was actually the first opportunity he had to get the cert, as he had just passed the 2 year age limit. Hippi show on the Sunday as well, and this time for the first time in the champion group. Bent-Overecorded the events on video, and these are now published on the net. The YouTube player below will also be added to Hippi's page.

During the show in Drammen, where Hippi got his N CH title, Belle trained showmanship with Victoria. Bent-Ove video'ed the whole thing and we have now put it on web. We hope you like it. It shows how muh improvement Victoria had over the day.

N CH Al-Dahná's Uriah Heep (Hippi), got his Norwegian Champion title today, Saturday August 23rd 2008, at the Norwegian Leonberger Club show in Drammen, Norway. This was his first opportunity to get the CC and the title, as he became 2 years old on August the 18th. Hippi was handled, as usual, by Belle Skogland. The judge was Anatoli Zhuk from Latvia.

Uno sends a big "Happy Birthday" greeting to his siblings Hippi, Sesto, Unique, Ruben and Mr Universe, and hope that all of you get a lot of nice food and attention today.

Torill and Victoria was on a trip to Oslo today (Friday August 1st of 2008), and while in Oslo went to see Alf, so that he could see for himself how fast she is growing and take some pictures of her. Over 600 pictures were taken in a couple of hours. And, if the truth be told, she is a very photogenic young lady. In the picture below she shows quite clearly that Harvey is her dad with this take-off. She also resembles her mother, Sasha, quite a lot as well. More of the pictures will be added to Victoria's Page. She will soon be able to compete with her uncle Raskho Ramsey about who has had the most pictures taken of them.
